The golden mean (sometimes called the “divine proportion”) is the ideal proportion between two extremes or in mathematical terminology, simply phi. It’s value is usually given as 1.618. You can find the golden ratio in art, music, poetry, architecture, even the stock market. Many great artists have proportioned their work according to the Golden Ratio, as it is believed to be aesthetically pleasing. Hence a ‘perfect’ eyebrow would display golden ratio proportions such as these: the high point of the eyebrow would divide the eyebrow arch at precisely the Golden Ratio point between the starting point of the eyebrow and the ending point of the eyebrow.
